2016 Indian Premier League
2016 will mark the 9th season of the Indian Premier League. The tournament is scheduled to be played between 8 April and 29 May 2016, and the final could be held in Mumbai, since the Mumbai Indians will be the defending champions. The BCCI also said there will be two new teams in the IPL replacing two teams.
The owners of the and have been suspended for two years due to spot fixing charges on 14 July 2015. Two new teams will be replacing them for two years.
